What the Site offers

The Site provides free sewing, embroidery and quilting calculators, written guides, technique walkthroughs and glossary entries. No account is required for anything. The tools run in your browser; the editors behind them are described on our About page.

Your licence to use the content

You may read, print and use everything on the Site for personal, educational and commercial projects — for example, using a yardage calculation to produce garments you sell, or quoting a short passage in a class handout or blog post with credit and a link back.

You may not republish the Site at scale: scraping or copying entire sections (all calculators, all guides, the glossary in bulk) to build a competing page or dataset is prohibited without written permission. Deep-linking and sharing individual pages are always welcome.

Calculators are estimates

Every result the Site produces is a planning estimate based on stated formulas and your inputs. Fabric behaviour, machine settings, pattern drafting conventions and retail stock vary. Before cutting expensive fabric, threading a machine for a long run or placing an order, verify against your pattern, a swatch or the retailer. Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the Site or its security, load it with automated requests at a rate that degrades service for others, probe it for vulnerabilities without telling us first, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Newsletter signups must be your own and you may unsubscribe at any time.

Affiliate links and sponsorship

Some outbound product links earn the Site a commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences our recommendations and is fully described in our Affiliate Disclosure, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Third-party sites

The Site links to retailers, manufacturers and other resources. Once you click through, the destination's terms and privacy policy govern — we do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, content or transactions.

Intellectual property

All original text, artwork, the brand mark and the software on the Site are owned by Bobbin & Form or licensed to it. Product names, brand logos and images of commercial tools remain the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively. Trademarks mentioned on the Site belong to their owners; their mention is not an endorsement by, or affiliation with, those owners.

Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may add, change or retire pages at any time — the Site is a living library. We may update these Terms; the date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept it. Substantial changes will be noted on this page.

Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of the Site is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive competence. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence always remain unaffected. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest of the Terms continue in force.
